A major update for Sungres version 6.4.0 was released today, adding new features and improvements to the solar flare screen.
Now you can view not only photos of the peak of a solar flare, but also videos of the event. All media can be viewed in full-screen mode and downloaded to your device for later viewing.
Since photos and videos of a flare may appear with a delay, the app interface now displays an estimated time of availability. This helps you better understand when to expect data updates.
A chart of radio blackouts occurring during solar flares has also been added. It helps you visually assess the event’s impact on radio communications.
In addition to changes on the solar flare screen, new alerts have been added: 7 days and 24 hours before the start of a solar eclipse.
The notification system has also been improved. Now, certain types of notifications take users directly to the relevant screens in the app with a single tap.
